Product Description
SAA 5.56mm Dragon's Head Muzzle Brake / Linear Compensator - GEN I
This advanced Muzzle Brake / Linear Comp. offers a sleek custom look as well as enhancing performance & accuracy. Unlike traditional "muzzle breaks" the SAA Dragon's Head Linear Comp. features five ports facing down range to keep muzzle blast and noise away from the shooter and by-standers. Older, traditional muzzle breaks like the ported or baffle designs direct gases and energy (and noise) back towards the shooter as well as those near the shooter. This is one of the best muzzle brakes we've tested, reducing muzzle rise by keeping recoil directed in-line ("linear" compensator) with the axis of the barrel ("bore axis"). This significantly reduces recoil & muzzle rise for quicker & more accurate follow-up shots. The SAA Dragon's Head also gives a flush look to bull barrels. (Pic: No, the complete upper isn't included)

Great Muzzle Break
Already own the Gen 2 and wanted the Gen 1 on my second build. Love these breaks! Sends sound down range and helps with quicker follow up shots due to the linear recoil. They both look bad ass as well...bonus!

Great break
The muzzle break definitely reduces the awkward recoil in shots where the rifle will move side to side or up and down. It doesn't reduce a lot of the recoil from the reward push, but that should be well-known if you're buying something like this. Since lateral recoil is reduced, follow up shots can be made a lot faster, as it's easier to get them back on target.
A secondary side effect is that lateral noise is also severely reduced, so your neighbors at the range will like you more. -
Great on my 10" SBR
The comp pushed the blast and concussion forward. Worked great - SBR blast felt much less than the blast on my 18" SPR build with a Nordic comp - at least my buddy on the line next to me thought so. Highly recommend

Dragons head could also be called dragons breath
My complete upper came with one of these installed from SAA when I bought it for a new build. It seems to work well, especially at directing the noise away from the shooter. That being said, one will never call it a flash hider as it displays an impressive fireball at the front of the barrel when you shoot. I have not tried it prone to see if it kicks up dust differently from the standard A2, but I wouldn't want to shoot it hunkered down in dry grass. As far as muzzle rise it seems to do a good job of minimizing it, so I would recommend it for improving accuracy and preserving the hearing of those shooting next to you.

Dr. T.
I received the muzzle breaks and was exceptionally pleased w/ the fast service!! ! It was shipped and arrived well packed w/ no damage. I I ordered two of them because the price was so good. I installed one of them and fired about 50 rounds and would rrecommend them to anyone! .

Best Muzzle device so far
I took this to the range and was surprise how it kept all the noise down range. I hate sitting next to some one that has an ar-15 most of the time you have to deal with the blast. But if they had one of these it would be a no brainer. Also I notice my follow up shots we easier. Great job guys.

Amazing
Never really tried any brakes besides the normal one but this one is amazing. Most of the sound goes away from you and management is great.
