Quality at a great price.
First of all let me start by saying I purchased this product with the 18" BHW heavy barrel. I couldn't find a lot of reviews about BHW but, the ones I found said they were solid , reliable and very accurate. They were right! The upper works and works well.
Starting at the front the lions head muzzle break looks awesome and as near as I can tell works great. It's a .223/5.56 so that is not much of a concern to me.
The barrel shoots exceptional very capable of sub moa at 100 yards. I haven't gone past that yet, yesterday was my first day at the range with it. I tested it with a wide verity of ammo including wolf steel case and had Zero issues. It fed and ejected as it should. My casings were flying at about 1 o'clock so I'll probably put an H buffer in my lower but, no signs of hard ejection. The gas block is a clamp on that is not pinned or detented and wasn't really tight so I lock tighten the screws and snugged them down well. I'll probably replace that in the future but it works well for now. It came with your basic M16 type bolt carrior group that is not chrome lined ( should have kicked in the extra 20) but it also works as designed. It does appear that the person who did the shot peening on the gas key screws really needs some strength training. The dimples are hardly noticeable. The Upper receiver is quality 7075 Aircraft aluminum and oks good. I put about 300 rounds through it yesterday and it ran flawlessly. For the money its a good build.
