These upper receivers are built to industry standard, mil-spec dimensions/fit and are ready to mount to any mil-spec AR-15 lower receiver. We take pride in the precision craftsmanship & quality components that complete these upper receivers. Fully assembled, checked for correct head space and test fired.
All NFA rules apply, this upper receiver cannot be mounted to a lower receiver with an actual stock of any kind unless the requisite NFA tax stamp for the lower is already acquired.

Big smile
I picked this up to go on a custom build lower. Mated the two together and took it to the range to shoot steel cased ammo. Yes, steel cased 75gr ammo. I dropped BUIS and a red dot on top and had no problems mating them to this upper. Fit and finish is great. It functioned very well. Shipping and timeline was as advertised - Thanks! I ended my trip to the range with a big smile.

Surprising
Installed a red dot shortly after receiving the unit. Shot it this weekend. Worked perfectly and incredibly accurate, and once sited, I am impressed. Used Remington 55 Gr SP out of a new box. Not a mishap on all 20 rounds and shot the last 5 or so just for fun!

great deal
I just put about 60-70 rounds threw this gun yesterday and I'm very excited about how nice it is. Seems to be very well built and reliable. The only complaint I have is the pin that holds the bolt in the bolt carrier group had a little bend in it and so I had to fight it a good bit to get it back in. I served 4 years in the USMC and have broken down and re-assembled many AR's so it wasn't an error on my end. The second thing, not nessarily a negative, is that there is quite a large muzzle flash. I'm not sure if that's due to the short barrel, the muzzle device or combination of the two. I loved every squeeze of the trigger and was very pleased with my purchase! I'm already in the process of building one for a buddy, and I will be using SAA parts. Thanks for your time.

11.5 SAA upper quality for a great price
I was looking to fill a need for an AR pistol upper for a possible truck gun. I was researching uppers most of which were comparably priced (w/o charging handle or bcg) or $200 more for a complete upper. I had bought a 10.5 blackout upper the year before and it surpassed my expectations for accuracy and reliability. So on a whim I bought the 11.5 5.55 upper for $349. It had never seen or handled the linear comp that the upper came with so on a hunch I also bought an A2 flash hider to reduce overall length.
My only complaint is SAA takes forever to ship compared to the companies I ordinarily deal with (10 vs 4 days) but I really couldn't beat the price.
So eventually my upper came in. I was immediately impressed with the fit and finish. Nothing fancy but utilitarian parkerizing and tight fit. The upper was well lubed.
As soon as possible I put it on a Seekins billet lower and took it to the range. I was limited to 25yrds but manag d to keep all rounds in a 6" circle with most of the rds touching. I was shooting irons (RRA A2 rear). I think these upper probably will outshoot me. The linear comp worked "ok" but I did notice some flash. When I took it home I replaced it with the A2. It's been solid ever since. Great value for the price. -
