These are the old, original actual Magpul brand 'magpuls.' They're rubber construction, a bit difficult to get on any subgun mag but once on they do not come off. They make extracting mags our of gear, tight mag pouches/holsters etc. a lot easier and a lot quicker. 2nd best thing they do is if/when you drop a mag out of your weapon, loaded or otherwise onto the hard ground or concrete, these will help save your magazine from damage. Drop a loaded Uzi mag on the pavement and find out the hard way. Drop a polymer B&T 9mm stick mag (original ones that don't even have the newer rubber bumpers) and especially if loaded, probably going to break. Drop an older collectable Steyr SPP polymer SMG mag, well, those are getting more expensive to replace. Magpul's original magpuls make a lot of sense.
