Wasn't free shipping
I had another part (upper parts kit - dust cover and forward assist) in with this item in the same box. I got charged shipping for all of it. The BCG is fine and works like it should

This is correct.
We're a small business and our website is not the smartest. It is not able to determine that if you order something with free shipping, that whatever else you add to the order could also have free shipping even if those other parts are small and could easily fit in the same box with the free shipping part.
It's just not that smart.
It didn't add anything to the possible shipping from the free shipping part, but it will have the shipping cost for the non-free-shipping parts.
If you ask us via email before or after you order, we can change this, so long as the request is within reason (no, not shipping a case of .45 ammo for free because you ordered a BCG w/ free shipping). -
