Product Description
Black Hole Weaponry AR-15 20" Rifle-Length Stainless Steel 6.5 Grendel (264 LBC) 1:8 Poly Barrel
Black Hole Weaponry Barrels employ the use of 416R, match grade stainless steel. BHW Barrels specialize in Polygonal rifling; The shape of the lands and grooves are based on a circle, so there are no sharp corners or edges for the bullet to conform into. This means there is a tight seal and thus less bullet deformation. This rifling form is unique in its ability to allow the bullet to be centered and fully supported by the barrel’s bore. This arc shaped rifling has long been held in very high regard for its accuracy, increased velocity, reduced gas cutting and ease of cleaning.

Nice fit and finish
After breaking in the barrel it had some real tight groups at 60 yards. Out to 130 yards next. -
BHW Barrel 20" 6.5 Grendel
Awesome barrel! First 3 shots .580", using Hornady Black 123 eld factory ammo. Best 3 shot group was .352" @ 100 yards. Freekin amazing! Service from Surpluss ammo was great, I will be back.

awesome
A little disappointed when i looked down the tube and saw burrs protruding from the gas vent hole. Took close flitting brass jag and knocked them . They were very light. During sight in got 1/4 inch 3 shot group. This thing is awesome

Very pleased with the performance of the BHW barrel approximately .5" group at 100 with factory Ajax and slightly less with handloads

Inherently Accurate!
I purchased this barrel two months ago and finally had the time to begin the barrel breakin. I was simply breaking in the barrel and zeroing the scope. I took a total of 6 shots and this barrel shot a 3/8 of an inch, three shot group at 100 yards and I am not even close to completely breaking in this barrel! Moreover, this was with a heavy Mil-Spec trigger and three shots in less than 10 seconds; I was not trying to be accurate. Hornady 123 gr SST ammo. I am using a traditional A2 stock and buffer assembly. I do recommend an adjustable gas block because the case necks were all dented from contact with the case deflector. So far...I am very impressed with this barrel!

Sub MOA with 3 different types of ammo
Not going to fluff this up and keep it to the point.
20" BHW .264 LBC barrel with SAA bolt and Precision Armament 6.5 muzzle break.
93degree 80 humidity
123 Amax, .5-.6 MOA on four 5 round groups. (2547 Avg MV)
123 SST .6 - .8 MOA on three 5 round groups. (2589 Avg MV)
120 PPU Ammo . 8 MOA on two 5 round groups. (2506 avg MV)
Barrel is awesome. Recoil is similar to a braked 5.56 gun shooting heavy ammo. Accuracy at distance is superb. At 450 meters I placed 3 rounds 3 fingers apart on steel. At 675 meters, compensating for wind I still held a 7" group with he Amax. As for the PPU it didn't group as well as the Hornady at distance but I ran out of the PPU rounds so I couldn't fire more to figure out why.
Highly recommend this barrel for a premium Grendel build. -
Take your time!
Excellent barrel! Fits very tightly in my Alexander Arms upper receiver. This thing is a tack-driver if you take the time to work up a good load for it.
I suggest if you hand-load, start off with some 123gr. A-MAX Hornady bullets. Then expirement with powder. This barrel won't disappoint! -
Accurate Barrel!
I purchased this barrel to replace a barrel I had bought for a Grendel build. I had bought a fairly expensive matching hand guard and billet upper in burnt bronze for this build, but when I tried to install the barrel, the barrel nut that came with the hand guard wouldn't fit over the barrel. I decided to purchase this barrel as a replacement, and have been really happy with the results. I was shooting Hornady 123gr sst factory ammo, and after initial sight in, I managed a 1/2" group at 150 yards. Not bad for the first time out. I didn't have that much ammo to continue to test this barrel at longer ranges, but the initial test was impressive. I will update this review in the future after more testing
