Black Hole Weaponry Barrels employ the use of 416R, match grade stainless steel. BHW Barrels specialize in Polygonal rifling; The shape of the lands and grooves are based on a circle, so there are no sharp corners or edges for the bullet to conform into. This means there is a tight seal and thus less bullet deformation. This rifling form is unique in its ability to allow the bullet to be centered and fully supported by the barrel’s bore.This arc shaped rifling has long been held in very high regard for its accuracy, increased velocity, reduced gas cutting and ease of cleaning.

Excellent Barrel
Despite this being my first AR build, I am pleasantly surprised how it has turned out. The barrel looks great. The Matte Black finish matches the rest of the rifle. I have not shot but a few rounds more than the break-in period and groups have been about an inch at 100 yards off a sandbag. Go do Blackhole Weaponry's website for their break-in instructions. Ordering from Surplusammo.com is cheaper than buying direct from the manufacturer, and the added free upper is a definite plus. I used the free upper with my build as well. It looks and functions great.

Excellent Barrel Maker
A friend has the A-4 profile BHW barrel and it is very accurate. I wanted a target / longer range build, and got the 20". looking forward to some middle / long-range shooting in Spring. Also well packed, reasonable shipping.

very accurate for a gas gun
this barrel is wonderful. look around at other companies barrels and find out who makes they're poly blanks for them and then compare the price. I'm able to get 1/4" groups of 5 shots at 100 yds without really trying. can't wait to get out to 880 yds.

Best barrel for the money
Ordered barrel and was shipped extremely fast. had a chance today (09 Nov 14) to finally test out the barrel, was pleasantly surprised when i got it sighted in and started shooting for groups. With 69gn Federal BTHP I had a three shot group that measured 1/4" at 100 yards and another 3 shot group at 100 yards using Hornady 75gn BTHP measured 3/8". I will be buying another barrel soon and recommending to my fellow shooters. Thank you for an AWESOME product.
