Black Hole Weaponry AR-15 18" Mid-Length Stainless Steel 1:8 Polygonal Rifled Barrel - 5.56 Chamber
***Includes FREE Assembled Nitride AR15 Bolt - Head Spaced to Barrel
Black Hole Weaponry Barrels employ the use of 416R, match grade stainless steel. BHW Barrels specialize in Polygonal rifling; The shape of the lands and grooves are based on a circle, so there are no sharp corners or edges for the bullet to conform into. This means there is a tight seal and thus less bullet deformation. This rifling form is unique in its ability to allow the bullet to be centered and fully supported by the barrel’s bore. This arc shaped rifling has long been held in very high regard for its accuracy, increased velocity, reduced gas cutting and ease of cleaning.

Incredible!
Used this barrel and the SAA upper in a build for my wife. BTW, I also used a frankenbolt just to see. With 200 rounds down the pipe, the barrel functions far, far beyond the expectations I had for it. I built the gun, zeroed it at 100 with a Burris scope, then handed it to my wife. She is apparently a better shot than I. She managed regular sub-moa groups at 100yds. My jaw on the floor, I then took the rifle back with a grimmace and tried at half silhouettes at 425yds. It was boring. Every shot was rewarded with a satisfying 'clang' to the envy of my fellow shooters. FYI, don't anger my wife.

Great barrel..
This was first complete upper build...went together easily ,
after going thru the break in procedure i was able to get 5 shot 3/4 " groups at 100yds with hornady 55gr #80275 using a rock river two stage trigger nikon 3x9 scope..other ammos opened up a bit, hoping to test some others to see what it really likes...very happy with this barrel -
Shoots great
I have this with a VLTOR upper, lmt lower and geisselle s3g trigger. On my first trip out with my own reloads (after firing about 1000 surplus xm 855 through it) I made a 25 shot group under an inch. there were 4 flyers that made the entire group 1.5 inches. When the weather warms up and I get some more glass I am sure Ill be making .5" groups at 100. Not gentle with my guns and it still looks brand new.

Good budget barrel
Put this barrel into an existing rifle, with a Geisselle SSA trigger, Weaver Grand Slam Tactical 3-10x Mil/Mil scope, YHM free float forearm and Magpul STR stock.
Initial impressions were great, got some very nice groups with 60 grain Hornady V-max over warm loads of BL(C)-2, and of course 69 grain Sierra HPBT over 25.0 grains of Varget.
Was seeing 7/8" 3 shot groups pop up regularly, with occasional 7/16" 3 shot groups.
Things seemed to go to hell after a little while, opening up to 2", but I think it may be me... last few groups have looked better, 75 grain Prvi Partisan HPBT over Varget yielded a good load at 7/8" for a 3 shot group right below max load.
More testing is needed for a firm impression, but as it stands this barrel is a fair deal.
Altogether the rifle is right at 10lbs with a Harris bipod, so a bit more manageable than if it were a full bull profile barrel. -

A serious piece of metal!
Bought this with the stripped upper receiver to finish my project. I was not disappointed. The bore was clean and with a bit of bore bright it has a near-mirror finish. Used 55 grain .556 FMJ XM193F. Very accurate even for a noob like me. I've got my sights set on my next project and will more than likely get the 16" version (with the 1:8). Looks good with my UTG Leapers scope. Sure, the scope's Chinese, but unless you're looking to contribute to my Eotech fund, it'll have to do. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a barrel that makes you feel confident in its ability.

Fantastic barrel for the money!
In comparable 18" barrels, you'll find that this one is a well rounded, excellent value. Especially if you pick this up when they're including stripped uppers.
Buy it. You won't be disappointed!
