American Eagle is designed specifically for target shooting, training and practice. It's loaded to the same specifications as Federal's Premium loads, but at a more practical price for plinking. The Open Tip Match bullet remains stable at subsonic velocities. The boat tail design reduces drag and gives the bullet a more aerodynamic profile helping to achieve a higher ballistic coefficient, flatter trajectory and less wind drift. These bullets are made with thicker jackets, allowing them to perform reliably under the most abusive conditions found in tactical competition, real world tactical situations and combat. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed reloadable brass cases.
