Product Description
Red Army Standard "NEW" 5.45x39mm 60 Grain FMJ Bi-Metal Jacket, Lead Core AM3423 - 30 (Thirty) Rounds
This Red Army Standard rifle ammunition features a NON-corrosive lead core bullet with a Lacquered steel case, sealed primer & case neck. This is not the older Russian or Ukranian manufactured 54r ammo (nothing from those factories since the start of the war). This is manufactured in Kyrgyzstan per the printing on the back of the box. It is still steel cased, is Lacquered (!) coated instead of polymer coated casings like we've seen on other 5.45 ammo over the decades. It does have sealed primers and case necks like advertised (see pics). These are my pics so this is the ammo in hand. It is also in the classic loose rounds, stagger stacked in paper wrap inside those boxes and is the old style 30 round boxes rather than prior Red Army 20rd boxes. It is old Soviet caliber ammo so that just makes sense to us Mosin, SKS, AK, AK-74, PPSH and Makarov shooters/collectors.
This is not the same batch/manufacturer as the prior white box version of Red Army ammo. Like Wolf from years back, Red Army will source from different factories and from different countries for their ammo, especially for the old Soviet calibers like this 5.45x39mm. But hey, as a shooter/collector of any and all surplus firearms and calibers, this is part of the fun: shooting ammo from as many different countries that loaded ammo for these classic weapons.
