.300 AAC
Hard to come by ammo for an up-and-coming tactical caliber. Used in my first built-from-the-ground-up .300, 16", carbine gas ported. No FTF's, cycling issues; using standard buffer and spring. Fairly accurate out to 300 yds, no wind 95 degree day. No keyholes, Pleasant experience, no reliability issues. Very easy to see why SOF went to this on an M4 platform. Weight and balance on the move no different from a standard 5.56. After range day, SURPRISINGLY clean; shot 100 rds, and PM was a snap. Very happy with this ammo, but I do hope the price takes a dive.
