Hornady's GMX bullet gives hunters an expanding monolithic bullet that delivers ultra-flat trajectories and devastating terminal performance. The gilding metal bullet is harder and tougher than a copper bullet and also helps to reduce fouling in the barrel. GMX bullet's expand 1-1/2 times its original size and retains 95% of its original weight. Their boat tail design reduces bearing surface in order to increase accuracy and consistency. This bullet has been certified as California compliant for shooting in lead free areas.

I've been hand loading for years and have always liked the bullets Hornady produces. These are no exception to Hornady's constant quality. With the right load recipe, these perform great in both my 18" and 16" barreled AR 15's. They both have 1-7 inch twist. Still working up loads, so I think I can get even more from this bullet. I would love to find the 55 grain GMX bullets as well. The situation with any ammo and related components now a days makes this stuff hard to find. SURPLUSAMMO.COM out of Montana had these in stock so I ordered them on line. This was the first time I ordered from them. They were great to do business with and my order arrived well packaged and in good time. I've trusted Hornady for many years and know I have a trust worthy company to order more product from.
